N Biren Singh to be Manipur CM again

Imphal, March 20: N Biren Singh has been re-elected as Chief Minister of Manipur for a second term. The BJP named Singh as Chief Minister on Sunday, ten days after the election results were announced, alongside two other candidates, Biswajit Singh and Yumnam Khemchand.

All three met with the BJP’s central leadership in Delhi yesterday to discuss who would be Manipur’s next Chief Minister.

Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Kiren Rijiju, the BJP’s central observers for Manipur, arrived in Imphal today to make the announcement.
