Dehradun, March 21: Pushkar Singh Dhami, was re-elected as Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister for a second term on Monday. Despite the fact that Mr Dhami lost his own seat in Khatima, the decision is considered as acknowledgment for the 46-year-old who led the BJP campaign to a historic second consecutive term.
Pushkar Singh Dhami announced as the leader of the Uttarakhand Bharatiya Janata Party Legislature Party.

According to sources, Mr Dhami is on his way to meet the Governor and lay a claim to lead the state’s government.
Former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, and veteran leader Satpal Maharaj were among the front-runners in the contest.
Defence Minister and BJP’s central observer for Uttarakhand Rajnath Singh congratulated Dhami for elected as the Leader of the Legislative Party.
“Pushkar Singh Dhami has been elected as the Leader of the Legislative Party. I congratulate him, I am confident that under his leadership Uttarakhand will make rapid progress,” he said in Dehradun.
