Ranchi, March 28: The members of All India Tanzeem-e-Insaf, during the final day of the national conference in Ranchi, have declared that they will fulfill the constitutional rights, the settlement of its legitimate grievances and the welfare schemes announced by the government. The organisation will work for the promotion of communal harmony and will defend the secular society.
Aziz Pasha, President of All India Tanzeem-e-Insaf has said that since independence, minorities specially Muslims, have been the target of minority discrimination.
“According to the Sacchar Committee report, the condition of the Muslim minority is worse than that of the Scheduled Castes. Religious partisanship in the administration has hindered the improvement of the condition of the community,” he said.
He added that the schemes and funds given for the work are of no use because of non-utilisation due to favoritism. Due to illiteracy and lack of knowledge, common Muslims remain unaware about most of these schemes.
“Apart from all this, the socio-economic difficulty that the minority is actually facing, it is the failure of minority organisations to not raise these issues. These organisations are either indulging in political sentimentalism or politics,” he added
Participating as a guest, former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahai said that in the present circumstances it is a big deal to discuss our rights.
“There was a time in India when socialists, communists and other progressive forces used to fight for the rights of the people on the basis of ideas. But those powers have now weakened. It is necessary that the struggle for the rights of minorities should be intensified on the basis of ideas,” he said.
Aziz Pasha stated that Tanzeem-e-Insaf will implement the welfare schemes and will act as a watchdog. The organisation will ensure that minorities get a fair share, not only in the schemes meant for them but also in the general welfare schemes.
“Tanzeem-e-Insaf will work for promotion of communal harmony and for the protection of secular society. It will have nothing to do with any other kind of communal organisation,” he explained.
