Ranchi, April 5: The economic condition of HEC has become worse in recent times. The creditors are repeatedly writing letters to the management demanding payment of their dues.

In the recent update, the IG of CISF also wrote a letter to the management of HEC asking them to pay the outstanding amount of Rs. 115 crore at the earliest.

A grace period of 15 days has been granted. According to the officials of CISF, if the management of HEC does not pay the outstanding amount within the stipulated time, then necessary actions will be taken as per the rules. Since the inception of HEC, the responsibility of security has been given to CISF.

Lagatar24.com tried to contact the officials from HEC but they have refused to share any information with regard to this matter.

At the same time, as the financial condition of the HEC was deteriorating, the management started to reduce the number of CISF personnel.

In the past, apart from the main gate in the HEC residential complex, CISF personnel were deployed in all three plants and headquarters.

At present, the number of CISF personnel has come down to 227. The jawans are stationed in security near the headquarters gate and the gates of the three plants.

A few days back, RMC had ordered the HEC Management to pay the outstanding amount of Rs. 18.29 crore at the earliest. The amount has been pending since 2017 and RMC has threatened that if they fail to do so it will freeze their bank account.

HEC has also failed to pay electricity bills for a long time. The management has to pay Rs. 126 crore to the Electricity Department. Arrangements are being made by the department for payment of dues from the management.
