New Delhi, April 7: The Enforcement Directorate questioned Omar Abdullah, the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and vice president of the National Conference, in New Delhi on Thursday. The NC leader was being investigated in connection with a money laundering case at the Jammu & Kashmir Bank, according to available information.

According to the National Conference’s official Twitter account, Abdullah was summoned to Delhi by a federal agency because his presence was required in connection with an inquiry. It stated that, despite the fact that the ED exercise was political in character, Abdullah would participate with it because he had committed no violation.

“JKNC Vice President Omar Abdullah was called by the ED to Delhi to appear before it today on the grounds that his attendance was necessary in connection with an investigation. Even though this exercise is political in nature he will cooperate as there is no wrongdoing on his part,” reads the tweet.
