Ranchi, April 21: The Jharkhand Department of School Education and Literacy has plans to appoint a total of 690 lab assistants in around 230 plus two schools in the state.
The department has completed the process regarding this. As per sources, the reservation roster has also been cleared. The department has sent a proposal of appointment to the Personnel Department. Education secretary Rajesh Sharma has said that the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission is to conduct the exam for the appointments.
The requisition for appointments will be sent to the commission on behalf of the Personnel Department. At present, there are 635 plus two schools in the state. Of these, around 510 schools conduct classes whereas enrollment will be taken in 125 schools from the new session this year. Meanwhile, for the 635 schools, only 230 posts of laboratory assistants have been created.
“Of these 230 schools, 59 schools are from the time of integrated Bihar, while 171 high schools were upgraded to plus two after the formation of Jharkhand,” said Sharma.
