Ranchi, April 26: The Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday deferred the hearing in a review petition challenging the single judge bench order given in the matter related to the appointment of Assistant Town Planner (ATP) for a week.

The development took place in the division bench comprising Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad after advocates appearing on behalf of petitioners sought some time to file more documents related to the case.

The matter reached before the double bench after a single bench dismissed the petition of Swapnil Mayuresh, who had moved the court for the cancellation of the ATP recruitment examination conducted by JPSC in 2020.

Notably, Mayuresh had filed a petition for cancellation of the examination saying that as many as 20 candidates who remained successful in the recruitment test did not have a registered degree from the Institute of Town Planner (India) till the last date of advertisement.
