Pooja scam: Pakur and Dumka mining officers turn up before ED, Sahibganj DMO seeks time

Ranchi, May 16: The mining officers of two out of three districts turned up for questioning at the headquarters of the Enforcement Directorate in Ranchi on Monday identified as Krishan Chandra Kisku of Dumka and Pradeep Kumar Sah.

But Vibhuti Kumar, the mining officer of Sahibganj has requested ED to give him some time as he is busy with the marriage of his daughter and he is on leave till May 20.

He sent a time petition through Sahibganj DC that the marriage of his daughter is scheduled for May 17 hence he needs to be in Sahibganj to discharge his duty as a father. He has said that he will be available for questioning anytime after May 20.

The ED sent them summons to join the money laundering probe against IAS Pooja Singhal who is accused of committing a scam in the MNREGA projects in the Khunti and Chatra districts. Besides, she is also accused of having patronized illegal mining as secretary of the mining department. Money was laundered through which money was laundered.
