Ahmedabad, May 17: Gujarat’s anti-terrorist unit arrested four people in connection with the 1993 Bombay serial explosions investigation on Tuesday.
Notably on March 12, 1993, a series of bombs shook Maharashtra’s capital city, killing around 257 people and injuring over 700 others. The attack’s masterminds are believed to be underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim and the Memon family.
Several suspects have been arrested and punished during the last three decades. However, two of the primary suspects, Dawood Ibrahim and Tiger Memon, remain at large.
Indian security forces detained Abu Bakar in the United Arab Emirates earlier this year.
