New Delhi, May 21: The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi found former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala guilty in a disproportionate assets case.

The court will pronounce the severity of the punishment on May 26.

On March 26, 2010, the Central Bureau of Investigation charged OP Chautala with acquiring assets worth Rs 6.09 crore between 1993 and 2006 that were disproportionate to his legal income.

A Delhi court charged OP Chautala with money laundering in connection with the disproportionate assets case in January 2021.

After being found guilty of corruption in a teacher recruitment fraud in 2013, OP Chautala and his son Ajay were sentenced to ten years in jail. In July 2021, OP Chautala, at 87 years old, was released from prison.
