Dhanbad to host 2nd Jharkhand Aerobic Gymnastics Championship on May 29

Dhanbad, May 24: Over 90 gymnasts from 17 districts of the state are all set to participate in the 2nd Jharkhand Aerobic Gymnastics Championship which is to be organized at Dhanbad on May 29.

Dr Nishikant Pandey, secretary of Jharkhand Gymnastics Association said that the championship would be organized at Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyalay Digwadih, Dhanbad. Record participants are expected to take part in this one-day affair.

He said organizing the championship in a different region would help in making the game popular among people.

“For completing the championship smoothly, the state association has formed a six-member technical committee to supervise the championship at Dhanbad,” said Pandey.

Committee members are- Rajiv Ranjan (working secretary), Rakesh Pandey of Koderma (observer), Tulika Srivastava (technical director), Jitendra Kumar (technical director) Vikash Kumar Gope (technical convener) and Deepak Kumar Gupta (statistician).

For successful organisation, the championship host Dhanbad District Gymnastics Association (DDGA) has also made an organizing committee at the district level.

DDGA president Shashikant Pandey said that elaborate arrangements have been made at the venue to make the state championship memorable. Dr  Puja Pandey has been made chairman of the organizing committee and Shashikant Pandey organizing secretary.

“This state championship would draw attention boys and girls towards the event,” he said.
