Ranchi: UPSC sets up special center for differently-abled for CSE Prelims Exam 2022 at DAV Nandraj

Ranchi, May 31: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has set up a special examination centre for the differently-abled for the prelims examination to be conducted on June 5.

Notably, around 50 differently-abled candidates will be able to participate in the examination to be conducted at DAV Nandraj Public School, Bariatu.

Notably, a total of 61 centres have been set up in the state for this examination. It has been estimated that around 28,000 candidates are set to appear for the examination. The exam will be held in two shifts. The first shift will be conducted from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, while the second shift will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

As per sources, 50 differently-abled candidates will attend the centre set up at DAV Nandraj Public School, Bariatu. Out of these, four visually impaired candidates will appear in the examination along with their clerk. Notably, around seven visually impaired candidates have requested the commission for clerks.

Meanwhile, 20 physically handicapped candidates will also appear in the examination. Of these, 15 candidates will take the exam without a script. While three candidates will bring their own clerk and two candidates have demanded a clerk from the commission. Around 50 percent of the invigilators are provided by the district administration to conduct the UPSC exam, while 50 percent of the invigilators are made available by the respective centre’s college and school.

Notably, DAV Nandraj Public School, Bariatu has been specially made for the differently-abled candidates. This is to help the candidates break physical barriers and appear in the examination.
