Dhanbad, June 7: The Dhanbad team of Anti- Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested an ASI Satyendra Paswan posted at Mahila Police Station of the district while taking a bribe of Rs 4000 for managing a case diary.
ACB Deputy Superintendent of Police Nitin Khandewal told media persons that ASI Satyendra Paswan was taking a bribe of Rs 4000 from Barwadda police station’s Birajpur Madhugoda area resident Sudhir Sab for settling a case diary.
Following a dispute, the wife of Sudhir Sab had filed a case against him in Dhanbad Mahila police station. ASI Satyendra Paswan was demanding Rs 5000 from Sudhir Sab to manage it. Finally, ASI agreed to do it on payment of Rs 4000.
Rattled by the pressure and demand from Mahila police ASI, Sudhir Sab lodged a complaint in ACB about it.
The ACB Dhanbad probed the allegation and found it true. He laid the trap and today gave Rs 4000 to Sudhir Sab to pay the ASI. ASI Satyendra Paswan called Sudhir at Sadar Hospital premises and was caught by the ACB squad red-handed while accepting the bribe.
