Barkagaon (Hazaribag), June 17: Under the Gondalpura mining project, Adani Foundation organized a free eye check-up camp at Harli Panchayat Bhawan on Saturday. A large number of women, men and children were examined for their eyes. Hazaribagh’s ophthalmologist, Dr. Parimal Piyush gave the necessary advice to the villagers. Now these patients will be provided free spectacles in the next camp. In the coming months, a total of ten free eye camps will be organized by the Adani Foundation in different villages and patients will be provided with essential medicines and spectacles free of cost on doctor’s advice.

Earlier, an awareness vehicle regarding the promotion of this camp was flagged off by the villagers. This vehicle will inform the villagers about the free camp to be held in the coming days. A large number of villagers from Gali, Gondalpura and Balodar were present on the occasion. The villagers said that the Adani Foundation is continuously helping the villagers through its many programs, which is commendable. Mining Project Head Dharmendra Dubey, Deputy General Manager Sanjay Kumar, Retired DSP Suryakumar Singh, Senior Manager Bhikham Singh and CSR Manager Mohit Gupta etc were present on the occasion.

The Adani Foundation is continuously doing various works of public interest. Recently, 70 new TB patients have been adopted by the foundation and they are being provided with nutritional kits. Most of the 60 TB patients adopted earlier have recovered. On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Adani Foundation planted saplings in large numbers and three drinking water centres are also being operated for the common people in this scorching summer.
