Ranchi, Sept.16: Security personnel engaged in anti-naxal operations in the forests of Jharkhand today paved the path for landing of a MI chopper at Budha Pahad, from where Maoists were driven out in a final strike under operation Octopus.
Today, a MI chopper landed at Budha Pahad giving clear cut indications about the intention of security personnel including CoBRA battalion of CRPF and Jharkhand Jaguar of Jharkhand police besides other police personnel.
It is being seen as a big achievement for the security personnel who had problem in carrying men and material in a short time passing through hilly terrain and forest area of the locality connecting Palamu and Latehar districts of Jharkhand besides regions of Chhattisgarh and thus giving proper space to Maoists and other extremists to use it as a place for recruitment and training of their cadres besides making it a place for safe shelter of Maoist top guns.
While the security personnel got success in landing the chopper at an inaccessible place like Budha Pahad, it also successfully diffused two IEDs, each of 30kg, recovered from Vishungarh in Hazaribagh district.
