New Delhi, Oct 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings on Sunday to the Indian Air Force personnel and their families as they celebrated Air Force Day in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
“Best wishes to all air warriors and their families on Air Force Day. India is proud of the valour, commitment and dedication of the Indian Air Force. Their great service and sacrifice ensure our skies are safe,” PM Modi wrote on X.

Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, the Chief of the Indian Air Force (IAF), arrived at Bamrauli Air Force Station in Prayagraj on Sunday morning to participate in the Air Force Day celebrations.
The 91st-anniversary celebrations of the Indian Air Force commenced with a ceremonial parade at Bamrauli Air Force Station in Prayagraj this morning. Subsequently, an Air Display will take place over the Sangam area, near the Ordnance Depot Fort in Prayagraj.
On the 91st Air Force Foundation Day, all members of the Indian Air Force received greetings from Union Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday.
Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, wrote on X, “Greetings to the Air Force personnel on #IndianAirForceDay. With its wings of steel and the heart of courage, the Indian Air Force has fervently secured the nation’s interests during war and peace. On this auspicious occasion, I commemorate the invaluable service and the sacrifices made by them to protect the sovereignty of the nation”.

Taking to X, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh wrote, “Greetings and warm wishes to all Indian Air Force personnel and their families on the occasion of the #91stAnniversary of this amazing force. Taking X, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath posted “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to the brave warriors of the Indian Air Force and their families on ‘Indian Air Force Day’! Air Force Day commemorates the formal inclusion of the Indian Air Force (IAF) as one of the country’s armed forces, which was established on October 8, 1932.
Each year, the occasion is marked in the company of the Indian Air Force’s topmost leader and senior officers.
