Ranchi, Oct 28: The Kolkata -based businessman and money laundering accused Amit Agrawal has been shifted to RIMS for treatment as he is said to have developed some health complications.

Sources said that on Friday around 12 o’clock he was taken to RIMS in the ambulance (JH01EN 0961). In the morning he was taken to the jail hospital as he complained of stomach pain. He is apparently suffering from constipation. Amit Agrawal is currently lodged at the Birsa Munda Central jail after the Enforcement Directorate arrested him on October 7 in cash for PIL case. The ED also filed a prosecution complaint against him before the special PMLA court and he was made the prime accused along with Jharkhand High Court advocate Rajiv Kumar.

Considered close to the Hemant Soren government, the ED is now contemplating to request the court to shift him to Arthur Jail in Mumbai.
