Dumka, Sept 3: Close on the heels of immolation of a school girl, the alleged murder of another minor girl has further sparked tension in the sub-capital town here.

The deceased tribal girl, who belongs to the Raneshwar police station area of the district, was found hanging from a tree in Sriamda under Muffassil police station here last evening who according to the sources was carrying a four-month-old foetus as revealed after the postmortem.

One Arman Ansari belonging to the Amrapara police station area of Pakur district has been arrested by the police. However, police has not revealed the name fearing the possibility of the incident taking a communal turn.

The deceased girl according to the reports worked as daily wage earner and was allegedly been violated by the accused who is a Raj Mistri. She was currently staying in her relatives home situated in the Muffassil police station area where her body was recovered. She was missing for the last three days.

The incident however has fuelled the already boiling situation in the sub-capital town following the immolation of the 16-year-old school girl with the BJP having termed the same to be yet another instance of the state government’s negligence towards the rising incidents of local girls falling prey to the youths of minority community.

“It is for sure that the accused identity would be revealed to have been belonging to outside the country and the investigation into the matter should therefore be also focussed accordingly,” Godda BJP MP Nishikant Dubey said adding that the family of the recent victim would equally be helped by him financially and legally.

He also said that such incidents suggest towards what he said Islamisation of Jharkhand.

Dumka DIG meanwhile confirmed the arrest of the accused person preferring however not to divulge his name.
