Srinagar: Early Tuesday morning, the Indian Army successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by terrorists in the Battal Sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The engagement led to an intense gunfight, resulting in one soldier being injured.
The operation is still ongoing, as officials continue to secure the area.
“Alert troops foiled an infiltration bid by effectively engaging infiltrating terrorists with effective fire in the Battal Sector at 03:00 hours. During the exchange of heavy fire, one braveheart has been injured. Operations are continuing,” stated the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps (16 Corps) in a post on social media platform X.
