New Delhi, Aug 2: The schedule for the next Asia Cup 2022 has been released, and India-Group Pakistan’s A match is set for August 28 in Dubai. The competition will start on August 27 and conclude on September 11.

The Asia Cup will be held in the UAE, as previously announced by Sri Lanka. Due to Sri Lanka’s ongoing economic problems, the competition was relocated.

India’s first encounter at the 2019 Asia Cup would be against Pakistan, and following that contest, the Rohit Sharma-led team would play a Qualifier. The top two teams from the Super 4 phase, which follows the group stage matches, advance to the championship games.

“The wait is finally over as the battle for Asian supremacy commences on 27th August with the all-important final on 11th September. The 15th edition of the Asia Cup will serve as ideal preparation ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup,” tweeted Jay Shah, the secretary of BCCI.
