Hangzhou, Sep 29: Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar of India extended India’s exceptional shooting streak on Friday by winning a silver medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3-position individual final at the Hangzhou Asian Games.
Aishwary won the silver medal with a score of 459.7 overall. Linshu Du of China won the gold medal with a new Asian Games record of 460.6 points. Jiaming Tian of China earned the bronze with 448.3 points.
India has won 18 medals till now in shooting at the Hangzhou Asian Games, maintaining its greatest streak at the continental event.
India now holds 32 medals from at the Asian Games, including eight gold, twelve silver and twelve bronze. Aishwary has won four medals overall in the Hangzhou Games.
In the women’s individual 10m air pistol final earlier on Friday, 17-year-old Palak won the gold medal and 18-year-old Esha Singh the silver.
