Hangzhou, Oct 6: The Indian men’s hockey team continued their impressive performance at the Asian Games, concluding their campaign with a gold medal.

As the team’s captain and possibly the finest drag flicker in the world right now, Harmanpreet scored twice as India defeated Japan 5-1 to win the final and claim the gold medal.

In the 25th minute, Manpreet Singh opened the scoring with a strong reverse flick. Harmanpreet added his name to the list of goal-scorers as India increased their lead to 2-0 just two minutes into the third quarter. Shortly after, in a span of four minutes, Amit Rohidas widened the gap to 3-0 by successfully converting a penalty corner.

Abhishek then added a fourth goal early in the fourth and final quarter, and Harmanpreet wrapped the show with his second strike with a minute remaining before the game’s conclusion.
