Patna, April 3: The Ram Navami celebration-related violence that broke out in several areas of Bihar after the celebrations lead the assembly into chaos on Monday, prompting the speaker to adjourn the session till two o’clock.
The Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) administration was accused by the BJP of failing to control communal unrest in the cities of Sasaram and Bihar Sharif.

Within 15 minutes after the 11 a.m. start time of the proceedings, Speaker Awadh Bihari Chaudhary adjourned the House till 2 p.m. due to the commotion.

Within minutes of the House convening, the Leader of the Opposition and several BJP members rose to speak about the violence that started on Thursday night during Ram Navami celebrations and persisted through Friday, causing Union Home Minister Amit Shah to postpone his Sunday visit to Sasaram.

The opposition representatives, however, were quickly outnumbered and outspoken by those in the “Mahagathbandhan,” who accused the BJP-RSS of being involved in the clashes and condemned Shah’s comments from a rally on Sunday in Nawada district, where he had threatened to “hang the rioters upside down” if the BJP won the state.
