Patna: The BJP has released its first list of 71 candidates for the Bihar Assembly elections, creating a stir in political circles by dropping several senior leaders. The most surprising omission is that of seven-time MLA Nand Kishore Yadav from the Patna Sahib constituency, where the party has now fielded Ratnesh Kushwaha.
New Faces Replace Senior Leaders
Along with Nand Kishore Yadav, other notable exclusions include minister Motilal Prasad from Riga, replaced by Baidyanath Prasad, and Ramsurat Rai from Aurai, replaced by Rama Nishad. The party’s move to give tickets to new faces indicates a strategic shift aimed at bringing younger leadership into the spotlight ahead of the elections.
Yadav Accepts Party’s Decision Gracefully
Reacting to the development, Nand Kishore Yadav posted a video message on social media platform X, expressing full support for the BJP’s decision. He stated, “I am with the decision of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The party has given me a lot. I have no complaints. I welcome and congratulate the new generation.”
He thanked the people of Patna Sahib for electing him seven times, calling it a matter of pride. “The love and support I received as a BJP candidate is unforgettable. I express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone,” he added.
