In a letter sent to all the States and Union Territories of the nation earlier on Saturday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) instructed them to provide a functional and consistent supply of medical oxygen for Covid-19 pandemic management.

The Ministry emphasised in its letter the necessity of medical oxygen and other important supplies in all clinical settings, particularly during an outbreak. According to the report, managing COVID-19 and providing quality patient care depend on a steady supply of oxygen.

Additionally, the RT-PCR test has been made required for travellers from five countries, including China, according to a statement made on Saturday by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.
