Bihar: Food poisoning claims two lives in Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur, Oct 5: In a case of food poisoning in the Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, two family members died, and one is in critical condition, police stated.

The incident occurred in Tehwara within the jurisdiction of the Katra police station in Muzaffarpur district.

The individuals who lost their lives have been recognized as Soni Kumari, a 7-year-old, and Ramprasad Sahni, who was 36 years old.

“The family members’ health started to deteriorate after they ate chapati and vegetables for their dinner at their home. The neighbours rushed them to a nearby hospital where two of them died,” said Katra Police Station SHO Kumar Abhishek.

Police reported that an investigation has been launched by the district medical department.

An investigation into the matter has also been initiated by the police.
