Patna, Feb 17: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) conducted its first shift for the matriculation examination 2022 on Thursday from 9:30 am. The first shift examination was held from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and the second shift examination began from 1:45 pm and will end at 5 pm. In each shift, an initial time of 15 minutes is given for reading and understanding the questions.

On the first day of the BSEB matriculation examination on February 17, the examination of Mathematics subjects is to be held in both shifts. Around 1525 examination centers have been set up in the state for this. A total of 16,48,894 students including 8,06,705 girls and 8,42,189 boys have filled the forms to appear in the exam.

A total of 74 examination centers have been set up in Patna district for the annual secondary examination 2022 wherein a total of 70,995 students including 36,149 girls and 34,846 boys will present. Four model examination centers have been set up in each district where the examinees are girls along with magistrates, invigilators and security personnel deputed at these centers who are also women.

The Bihar Board says that even if there is a photo error in the admit card of a student, they will be allowed to sit in the examination. If there is an error in the photo of any candidate, that is, the photo of another student is printed or the photo has not been printed resulting in a flawed image for the answer sheet containing the admit card data, OMR answer sheet, attendance sheet, the candidate will be allowed to sit in the exam after a physical verification.

Such candidates whose photo in the admit card is flawed, it will be necessary for them to satisfy invigilators by a physical verification before sitting in the exam centres. For this, it will be mandatory for the candidate to present the photocopy of any one document along with the registration card and admit card, signed by a gazetted officer and attested by him, before the Central Superintendent of the examination centre. Documents that can be used for verification include the original copy of any one of the documents (in which the photo is clearly printed) like Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, Bank Passbook with photo, along with their admit card. A photocopy of the relevant evidence attested by the gazetted officer will also be needed to submit to the Central Superintendent. After this, the Central Superintendent will take action as per rules.
