Patna, March 14: RJD politician Sunil Rai was kidnapped from his workplace in the early hours of Tuesday in Chhapra, Bihar, according to the police.
The 42-year-old Sunil Rai was taken from outside his office near the market committee within the boundaries of the Muffasil police station at around 4:30 am on Tuesday, according to a statement released by Saran Police. To solve the case, a special investigation team (SIT) was assembled.
In addition to interrogating witnesses, police claimed they had access to CCTV footage from cameras placed close to the crime scene. To find Rai and find the offenders, all feasible measures are being used.
The kidnappers are shown on camera waiting outside Rai’s office in a white Scorpio. They seize the RJD leader and drag him into the waiting truck after a brief struggle, then they leave the area.
The father of Sunil Rai reported that his son arrived at the party office early on Tuesday as a result of receiving a call. He denied that any interpersonal conflict could have led to Rai’s kidnapping.
In response to the news of Sunil Rai’s kidnapping, BJP leader and former deputy chief minister of Bihar Tarkishore Prasad lamented the grand alliance government’s handling of law and order.
