Bihar: Sec 144 imposed in Sasaram after clashes between two groups

Patna, March 31: The local government on Friday enforced Section 144, after violent clashes between two factions in Bihar’s Sasaram during Ram Navami festivities. According to early reports, the groups fired shots in addition to throwing stones.

Security has been increased in and police have reported that Section 144 has been implemented in Sasaram in order to maintain control of the situation. A few Police personnel also sustained injuries as they tried to control the situation.

“There is tension between both groups, and stone pelting also occurred. Some houses were set on fire. The fire is being doused. The administration came to the spot and calmed them down. The situation is under control now,” said ADM Chandrashekhar.
