Patna, Feb 2: A video of Bihar’s senior IAS officer KK Pathak using abusive language at other officers present in a conference that was being held through video conferencing has gone viral.
Unknown as to the exact time of the meeting, KK Pathak principal secretary of the department of prohibition, excise, and registration and director general of the Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (BIPARD) appeared enraged and was heard using derogatory language against state residents and elected officials.
“Have you ever seen anyone honking on the road when the signal is red, but on Bailey road in Patna people keep on honking at the red light. I will reprimand the deputy collectors”, KK Pathak is seen speaking in the viral video.
Meanwhile Bihar Excise Minister Sunil Kumar said that necessary they will take the necessary steps.
The Bihar Administrative Services Association (BASA) sprang into action and sought his removal from the office shortly after the video became public.
According to sources, BIPARD held a training session for the probationary deputy collectors in Gaya in November. Regarding KK Pathak at the time, the authorities had complained to the chief secretary. KK Pathak was upset with BASA and the probationary deputy collectors as a result of this action.

Sunil Tiwari, General Secretary, Bihar Administrative Services Association demanded the government to sack the officer. “We have decided to register an FIR against him. He used abusive words for us which is wrong. We condemn it,” he added.
