Nalanda, Jan 25: Students who appeared for Railway Recruitment Board’s Non-Technical Popular Categories exam 2021 protested at Bihar Sharif railway station alleging discrepancies in the results. Train services were affected in parts of Bihar due to this protest.

“People have gathered here due to which train services were disrupted for some time but now trains are running normally,” said. Mukul Pankaj Mani, Additional SDM, Bihar Sharif.
Notably, the results of the RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) for computer-based test (CBT) was released on January 15 for shortlisting the candidates for the CBT-2. Students were against the government’s decision to have two exams.
Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, the district magistrate of Patna, said the protests disrupted railway services for about five hours. He went on to say that the perpetrators would face consequences.
“This is not the way to resolve any issue. We’ll take action against the main culprits and register case against them,” said Dr Singh.
Because to the sitting on the rails, East Central Railway’s (ECR) chief public relations officer Rajesh Kumar stated five trains originating from the station had to be cancelled for the day. The Tejas Rajdhani, Sampoorn Kranti Express, and Mumbai-bound Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express were among them. Five other trains that pass through the station had to be diverted as a result of the incident.
