Dhanbad, Sept 18: Vedanta ESL Steel Limited Director Nitish Kumar Nirala urged the BIT Sindri newcomers to inculcate out-of-the-box thinking and to actively participate in various clubs and enhance their co-curricular skills.

While delivering his speech as a guest lecturer in the induction programme of BIT Sindri  2023 session students today, the Vedanta ESL Steel Limited Director shared his valuable insights on the importance of human values, time management, communication skills and encouraged students to inculcate out-of-the-box thinking.

Nitesh Kumar Nirala, an alumnus of BIT Sindri, Metallurgy batch of 1998 to 2002 asked the students that they should feel fortunate to be a part of BIT Sindri and should take immense pride in their institution, recognizing it as a catalyst for their journey towards success.

Nirala counselled students to actively participate in various clubs and enhance their co-curricular skills in addition to being creative and inculcating interdisciplinary knowledge.

Earlier, Director, BIT Sindri, Prof. Pankaj Rai and Prof. R. K. Verma, the general warden (Head of the Department, Physics) welcomed the guest lecturer.

Dr Swati Tomar, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry formally introduced Nirala, shedding light on his achievements and accomplishments.

Director, BIT Sindri, Prof. Pankaj Rai presented a token of appreciation to Nirala acknowledging his contribution to the orientation program’s success. The session concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr Swati Tomar.
