Fatehabad, Sept 25: Several heads of opposition parties gathered in Fatehabad, Haryana on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Deputy Prime Minister Devi Lal. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav attended this programme.

Addressing the audience on the occasion, Tejashwi questioned the existence of NDA in the country, while Nitish Kumar claimed that if the opposition unites, the BJP can be defeated in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

CM Nitish Kumar said that there are seven parties in the grand alliance in Bihar while BJP is alone. It is difficult for BJP to win the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. “We all have to unite and defeat the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. The opposition parties of the whole country will have to unite. They conspired to defeat our candidate in the 2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly election. I did not want to be the Chief Minister, but they (BJP) insisted that I be made CM,” the CM added.

CM Kumar further alleged that nowadays only publicity is being done instead of the actual work. He asked the people present to support the opposition. He said that OP Chautala is requested to bring all the parties together on the stage and that the opposition will uproot BJP from power in 2024.

Nitish Kumar said, “We have to leave the matter of personal gain behind and walk together. I will also tell the Badal family of Punjab to join us.”

The CM further said that RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar will also meet Sonia Gandhi this evening.
