Ranchi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fully geared up for the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections, setting a target to win at every booth across the state. During a crucial meeting of the party’s election management committee held at the BJP state headquarters on Monday, leaders laid out a detailed strategy for ensuring victory. The meeting was chaired by BJP State President Babulal Marandi and attended by key figures, including Union Minister and election in-charge Shivraj Singh Chouhan, co-in-charge and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Arjun Munda, and several MPs and MLAs.

BJP Ready to Win Assembly Elections: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Addressing the gathering, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed confidence that the people of Jharkhand are ready to support the BJP in forming the next government. “The election management committee members have the responsibility to bring the sentiments of the people to the ground,” he stated. He emphasized the need for tireless efforts, saying, “We must become full-time workers until the election is won and ignite the passion for victory within ourselves.”

Effective Election Management Key to Success: Babulal Marandi

State BJP President Babulal Marandi stressed the importance of effective election management, calling it the key to winning the polls. “If the management committee operates with a solid plan and executes it well, victory will be ours,” Marandi said. He described the upcoming elections as the primary “festival” for party workers and urged them to organize the campaign efficiently to ensure favorable results. “The people are looking at BJP with hope,” he added.

Focus on Winning Every Booth: Sunil Singh

Sunil Singh, the convener of the election management committee, highlighted the party’s ambitious goal of securing victory at every polling booth. “We have set a target to win every booth,” Singh told reporters. He detailed how workers have been assigned responsibilities for managing campaign visits by leaders, their programs, and overall election promotion. Special attention will be given to weaker polling booths. Singh also mentioned the party’s potential plan to introduce the “Gogo Didi Yojana” if they win, with active participation from the party’s workers in this initiative.

NDA to Contest Elections in Full Force: Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma assured that the NDA alliance will contest the Jharkhand elections in full force with its allies. Sarma revealed that the BJP will announce its candidates for 98% of the seats within 24 to 28 hours of the Election Commission’s announcement of polling dates. Regarding the Chandanakiyari seat, Sarma confirmed that it would remain with the BJP. On seat-sharing discussions, he said that talks with AJSU for one seat are still pending, and JDU might get two seats. Negotiations with Chirag Paswan’s LJP will be finalized after Paswan’s return from abroad on October 16.

Former MLA and Daughter Join BJP

Former MLA Sukra Ravidas and his daughter, former Congress leader Dr. Manju Devi, joined the BJP on Monday. During a welcoming ceremony at the state office, Babulal Marandi and Himanta Biswa Sarma welcomed them into the party. Sarma remarked that despite having left the party years ago, their loyalty remained with the BJP, and new allies continue to join their cause.
