Kolkata, May 6: Arjun Chowrasia (27), Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Mondal Vice-President, North Kolkata brutally slaughtered and hanged on Friday.
Union home minister Amit Shah, who is in West Bengal for a two-day tour, is slated to pay a visit to the BJP worker’s home today afternoon.
The BJP has reportedly cancelled all celebrations surrounding Shah’s arrival in the city. After hearing the news, a senior BJP leader said Shah was unhappy and urged them to cancel his lavish welcome at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Airport in Kolkata.
“The death and murder of our committed karyakarta Arjun Chowrasia (27), resident of Kashipur Assembly, is deeply distressing. In view of the unfortunate killing,all celebrations to welcome Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Kolkata stand cancelled”said Bharatiya Janata Party,West Bengal.
