Patna: A bomb threat to the Bihar Legislative Assembly has put security agencies on high alert after a threatening email was sent to the Assembly secretariat. The incident caused panic in the premises and prompted immediate precautionary action by authorities.
Evacuation And Search Operation Conducted
People inside the Assembly premises were evacuated as a safety measure after the threat was received. Bomb disposal and dog squad teams carried out a thorough search of the entire complex. No suspicious object was found, but security was tightened as a precaution. All individuals entering and leaving the premises are now being checked carefully.
Second Threat Raises Fresh Concerns
Officials said this is not the first time the Assembly has received a bomb threat through email. A similar threat had been sent earlier as well. The repeated warnings have raised fresh questions about security preparedness at the high-profile government complex.
Cyber Cell Begins Investigation
Police are now trying to trace the sender with the help of the cyber cell. Officials suspect it may be the act of a mischief-maker, but they said every possible angle is being examined seriously from a security perspective.
