New Delhi: Tech millionaire Bryan Johnson found himself blocked by yoga guru and Patanjali founder Ramdev on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) after he questioned Ramdev’s anti-ageing claims.
On Tuesday, Ramdev posted a video of himself running alongside a horse, claiming that consuming Patanjali’s Swarna Shilajit and Immunogrit Gold can enhance immunity, strength, and anti-ageing.
Johnson’s Response On India’s Air Quality
Reacting to Ramdev’s post, Johnson pointed out the deteriorating air quality in Haridwar, where the yoga guru resides. He highlighted that breathing in such conditions increases the risk of heart and lung diseases, contradicting the claims of enhanced longevity made in the video.
Minutes after his comment, Johnson posted a screenshot revealing that Ramdev had blocked him on X.
“Ramdev blocked me after I pointed out India’s air pollution issue,” he wrote.
Johnson’s Exit From Indian Podcast Over Air Pollution
The billionaire, known for spending millions on his anti-ageing regimen, has frequently raised concerns about India’s air pollution. Earlier, he abruptly walked out of Nikhil Kamath’s podcast, citing discomfort due to the country’s poor air quality.
“When in India, I had to end this podcast early because of the bad air quality. The room circulated outside air, making the purifier I brought ineffective,” Johnson explained.
Since then, he has continued to emphasize India’s worsening air pollution levels, even claiming that his brief stay in the country had already impacted his health.
Ramdev’s Anti-Ageing Claims Under Scrutiny
Ramdev, who co-founded Patanjali Ayurved in 2006 with Balkrishna, frequently promotes Ayurvedic solutions for health and longevity. His latest claim, associating horse-like stamina with Patanjali products, has sparked debate, with Johnson becoming one of the most vocal critics.
