New Delhi, Feb 1: Introducing the Union Budget 2023–24 to the Parliament on Wednesday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated that it focuses on seven priorities, which she referred to as the ‘Saptrishis guiding us through Amrit Kaal.’
These include: financial sector, green growth, youth power, infrastructure and investment, reaching the final mile, and inclusive development.
The Finance Minister referred to the Budget 2023 as ‘the blueprint for India @100 and the first Budget of Amrit Kaal.’ Despite obstacles, she claimed, the Indian economy is headed in the right direction. She stated that starting on January 1, 2023, the government would undertake a plan to provide food to all Antyodaya and priority homes for the following year.
Talking about the education she said,”157 new nursing colleges will be established in colocation with the existing 157 medical colleges established since 2014.”
