Budget Session 2022: PM Modi calls for quality discussion

New Delhi, Jan 31: Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for “quality debates with an open mind” during the parliament’s budget session, which begins today. The Prime Minister told the media ahead of the opening day of the budget session that open-minded debates and conversations can become a significant chance for global impact.

“Budget session commences today. I welcome you and all MPs to this session. In today’s global situation, there are a lot of opportunities for India.This session instils confidence in the world regarding the country’s economic progress, vaccination program, Made in India vaccines,” said PM Modi.

“In this Session too, discussions, issues of discussions & open-minded debates can become an important opportunity for global impact. I hope that all MPs, political parties will have quality discussions with open mind & help take the country on the path to development swiftly,” added PM Modi.

He welcomed all members of parliament to the budget session, saying that given the current global situation, India has a lot of opportunities. He went on to say that the meeting gives the world trust in India’s economic success, vaccination programme, and Made in India vaccines.

Recognizing that periodic elections have an impact on parliament sessions and debates, he emphasised that elections are a continuous process, but the budget session would lay out a plan for the full year.
