New Delhi, March 29: Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned on Wednesday amid sloganeering by the opposition on Wednesday to meet again at 11 am on April 3.

Soon after the proceedings started at 11 am, the Upper House resumed following the first break earlier in the day. The House had already been suspended till 2 PM.

In the midst of opposition protests in the Lower House during the current Budget Session of the Parliament, the Lok Sabha was called to adjourn earlier today. It will reconvene on April 3 at 11 am.

Within the Parliament, the opposition Lawmakers shouted for a JPC investigation into the Adani-Hindunberg situation.

Earlier in the day, just after convening at 11 am, Lok Sabha was adjourned till its next session at 12 noon. After over 30 minutes, the House was again adjourned.

At the Ambedkar statue in the Parliament, TMC lawmakers organised a protest against the government, calling on PM Narendra Modi to address the Adrow among other concerns. In addition to leading the protest against Rahul Gandhi’s exclusion from the Lok Sabha as an MP, Congress has been calling for the creation of a Joint Parliamentary Committee to investigate the Adani Group problem.

According to reports, Congress and other opposition parties are thinking about introducing a no-confidence resolution against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla the next week on the grounds that opposition members aren’t being given the opportunity to speak.
