New Delhi, April 17: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has called Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee for questioning in a multi-crore cattle smuggling case tomorrow.
The CBI issued a summons to Mr Banerjee, the nephew of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, just hours after the Supreme Court halted a probe into allegations of corruption in the hiring of teachers.
He is due to appear tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Kolkata’s Nizam Palace, as per a CBI directive.
