Ranchi, April 11: Altogether 25 schools run by the Jharkhand government are set to get CBSE affiliation.
Education Secretary Rajesh Sharma has said, “A total of 80 schools run by the state government in Jharkhand have been chosen to be turned into model schools. The schools have all the facilities offered by private schools. Of these 80 schools, 25 will be given CBSE affiliation.”
“Some schools are being upgraded to model schools for which the foundation work has already begun. Such schools included Ram Rudra Plus Two High School in Chas block and Kasturba Gandhi residential girls school and Project Girls High School, Nawidh,” he added.
When asked about the state government’s plan to introduce credit cards which would offer loans to students up to Rs 10 lakh, he said, “These are being introduced to help students pursue higher education. All related information shall be released in due time.”
Upon being inquired about changing school timings, Secretary Sharma said, “There may be plans to change school timings for government schools in the state. Official information in this regard will be released soon.”
