Ranchi, Jan 18: The CBSE Class 10 board examination schedule has been released by the exam conducting body, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), on the official website. As per the released date sheet, the examination is scheduled to begin on February 15, 2023, for the current academic year.
With just a few days left for the examination, students have to pull up their socks to ace the upcoming examination. As per the date sheet, CBSE will conduct the Class 10 science exam on March 4, 2023. To ease the examination stress, teachers from FITJEE, Newton Classes and Champ’s Square have come up with a set of tips that can help students to score in the CBSE Class 10 Science 2023.
As the question paper consists of different sections ranging from easy to difficult levels and case-based questions, students must prepare accordingly. Science is divided into three sections-Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Physics contains many derivations and numerical parts; Chemistry contains chemical reactions and conceptual parts, whereas Biology is theoretical and conceptual based.
For Physics, teachers say students must practice numerical problems and diagrams and revise notes regularly. They must work on gripping concepts of physics for conceptual and theoretical problems.
In the case of Chemistry, students must practice balancing reactions and numerical parts. They must know the periodic table elements, their group, and periods.
Meanwhile, in Biology, students must practice diagrams as much as possible and note all important terms, definitions, theories, diagrams, and their respective functions. They must practice the diagram numerous times to draw it quickly in the exam. Moreover, biology students must be able to perform the hereditary cross-linked to genetics.
Along with this, other tricks suggested by teachers include:
Understand Exam Format
Students must familiarise themselves with the structure of the exam and the types of questions that will be asked. This will help them to plan their study schedule and focus on the areas that are most likely to be tested.
Read Textbook Carefully
They should also make sure they clearly understand all the concepts discussed in the textbook. This will form the foundation of their knowledge and help them answer the more advanced questions in the exam. Teachers also suggest going through virtual labs for practical-based questions.
Make Notes
As students read through the textbook, they should make notes of the key concepts and essential formulas. This will help them to revise the material quickly and easily.
Practice Solving Problems
Solving sample papers, previous years’ question papers, and practice problems are crucial for doing well in the Science CBSE board exam. This will help them understand the types of questions that are likely to be asked in the exam and also help them identify their weak areas. Also, they should practice case-based reference questions.
Time Management
During the exam, students need to manage their time well and ensure they spend little time on any question. This will help them complete the exam on time and also ensure they have time to review their answers.
Be Organised
Students should also keep their notes and study materials well-organized and in order. This will help them to find the information they need quickly and easily.
Understand Concepts
Science is about understanding the key concepts and principles. Students need to make sure they clearly understand these concepts, as they will be the foundation of their knowledge and help them answer even the most complex questions in the exam.
Focus On Application
Science is about memorizing facts and figures and understanding how to apply the concepts the students have learned. Therefore, they should ensure to practice using the concepts in a different context, as this will help them solve problems more effectively during the exam.
