Chatra: Yoga session held at NTPC

Chatra, June 21: International Yoga Day 2023 was celebrated at NTPC’s North Karanpura power plant with the successful completion of the Yoga sessions, which were conducted for NTPC, CISF personnel and their families. These sessions started on June 1 and ended today on the 9th International Yoga Day. Officials said this session was organised to promote holistic well-being and foster a harmonious environment by integrating yoga into their daily lives.

Officials said sessions were led by experienced yoga instructors and received an enthusiastic response from participants. Children were given a token of appreciation for performing difficult Yoga Asanas.

North Karanpura plant also conducted yoga sessions at Naiparam and Garilong Village. By organising a yoga session, NTPC, North Karanpura is providing an opportunity for the villagers to engage in a healthy activity that can have a positive impact on their overall health.

Officials said through such sessions, participants had the opportunity to explore various yoga postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques. The instructors guided them through a series of gentle stretching exercises to improve flexibility and strength. The mindfulness and meditation practices offered a space for participants to find mental peace and enhance their overall sense of well-being. It was an opportunity for everyone to connect with their bodies, minds and breath, allowing them to experience the profound benefits of yoga.
