Ranchi, Aug 31: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) rubbished BJP Godda MP Nishikant Dubey’s allegation that Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren played with the country’s security by breaking rules at the Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi.

Speaking to lagatar24.com, CISF Chief Public Relations Officer Dr Anil Pandey said, “All security processes were carried out at the Ranchi airport and the allegations by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey are completely incorrect. We have already tweeted on the matter.”

On Tuesday, Dubey tweeted, “Chief Minister Soren played with the security of the country. Congress and JMM MLAs boarded the airplane to Raipur without security check and with liquor, money and firearms.” He tagged the Airport Authority of India, Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia and the Ministry of Home Affairs asking them to take note.

The CISF, which is part of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has responded to the allegations. “A misinformation is circulating on social media regarding security lacunae at the Ranchi Airport during departure of the MLAs. In the said incident CISF has observed all laid down security procedures for the concerned passengers.

“Entry inside the Airport premises and subsequent flight travel was based on legal documents. Proper frisking of passengers and screening of their cabin baggage was done. The allegations are unfounded and baseless,” the CISF said in a tweet tagged to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Minister Scindia and the AAI.

It may be noted that several UPA MLAs were flown to Raipur on a chartered Indigo flight on Tuesday to prevent any poaching by the BJP amid political uncertainties in Jharkhand. Soren faces possible disqualification in an office-of-profit case.

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has been frequently tweeting and giving media interviews for a week now fuelling various speculations. However, he was the first to say that MLAs of the ruling class will be shifted to Chhattisgarh though his timing was incorrect.
