Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Golak Bihari Mahato, the father of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) senior leader and Nala MLA Ravindra Nath Mahato. Taking to his social media platform ‘X,’ the Chief Minister extended his condolences, praying for peace for the departed soul and courage for the grieving family.

“Saddened to learn about the demise of Golak Bihari Mahato, father of JMM senior leader and Nala MLA Ravindra Nath Mahato. May Marang Buru bless the departed soul with peace and give strength and courage to the bereaved family to endure this difficult time,” Soren posted.

झामुमो के वरिष्ठ नेता और नाला से माननीय विधायक आदरणीय श्री @Rabindranathji जी के पिता आदरणीय श्री गोलक बिहारी महतो जी के निधन की दुःखद सूचना मिली।

मरांग बुरु दिवगंत आत्मा को शांति प्रदान कर शोकाकुल परिवारजनों को दुःख की यह विषम घड़ी सहन करने की शक्ति और साहस दे।

Golak Bihari Mahato, a retired teacher, was instrumental in shaping the political journey of his son, Ravindra Nath Mahato, who is a prominent leader in Jharkhand politics. His guidance and influence were pivotal during the Jharkhand movement, a cornerstone of the state’s political history.

Political and social organizations across the state joined the Chief Minister in extending condolences, offering support and prayers to the Mahato family in this moment of loss.
