Ranchi, May 30: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday announced Mahua Maji as the Rajya Sabha candidate of the JMM for the upcoming Rajya Sabha election.
Addressing a press conference at his official residence, Hemant Soren said that he had a discussion with Congress president Sonia Gandhi regarding the candidature and he further discussed the issue with the JMM President Shibu Soren who approved the name of Mahua Maji.
Mahua Maji was the chairperson of the Jharkhand State Women Commission and she was also the JMM candidate from the Ranchi assembly seat.
