New Delhi, June 28: Union Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi released a book titled ‘Coal India Wins Over Covid’ showcasing the initiatives taken by national miner Coal India Limited (CIL) and its subsidiaries to help fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
Coal Secretary Dr Anil Kumar Jain, Additional Secretary Vinod Kumar Tiwari, CIL Chairman Pramod Agrawal, CIL Director (Personnel & IR) Vinay Ranjan, CIL Director (Technical) B Veera Reddy and senior officials of the Ministry of Coal and CIL were present on the occasion either physically or through video conferencing.
The book enumerates the contribution of CIL and its subsidiaries as first movers for Covid assistance, steps taken to strengthen medical infrastructure including setting up oxygen plants through ‘Mission Pranvayu’, monetary contribution, providing food to migrants, steps taken for ease of doing business, statistical overview of community initiatives and other measures taken by CIL to help fight the pandemic.
