New Delhi, April 1: The cost of 19 kilogramme commercial cooking gas has risen by Rs 250 per cylinder today. As a result of the tariff hike, a 19kg commercial cylinder would now cost Rs 2253 as of today.
Domestic gas cylinder prices have not increased. The price of a 19-kg LPG cylinder has increased by Rs 346/cylinder in the last two months. On March 1, the price of a 19 kilogramme commercial cylinder was raised by Rs 105, and then it was decreased by Rs 9 on March 22.
Domestic LPG cylinder prices were also increased by Rs 50 on March 22, and a 14.2 kilogramme non-subsidised LPG cylinder now costs Rs 949.50.
Notably, fuel prices continue to rise, with petrol and diesel rates each rising by 80 paise per litre on Thursday, resulting in a total increase of Rs 6.40 per litre in nine revisions in ten days. Rahul Gandhi, who staged a protest against the petrol price hike yesterday, asked that the BJP-led government bring the growing fuel prices under control.
