Congress Lok Sabha members meeting on Israeli spyware Pegasus issue at 10:30

There was a huge uproar in Parliament yesterday over alleged illegal surveillance of political leaders, journalists, bureaucrats and others through the Israeli spyware Pegasus.

NewDelhi : Lok Sabha members of Congress will hold a meeting at CPP office on Tuesday morning at 10.30 am to prepare a floor strategy on the issue of Pegasus project. Let us tell you that there was a huge uproar in Parliament yesterday over the alleged illegal surveillance of political leaders, journalists, bureaucrats and others through the Israeli spyware Pegasus. It is also reported that Sukhendu Shekhar Ray of Trinamool Congress has given 267 notices demanding suspension of the rules of business in Rajya Sabha for discussion on Pegasus. Congress MP Manickam Tagore has also given Adjournment Motion Notice in Lok Sabha on ‘Pegasus Project’ media report issue.

Pegasus Software Company sells software only to government and government agencies

Pegasus Software is an Israeli company. This company sells software only to the government and government agencies. However, the Indian government has denied the use of this software. IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, while replying in the Rajya Sabha, said that the government has no hand in this matter. He also said that there is nothing wrong with this. After which the commotion intensified. But after a few hours, his name also appeared in the list that came out.
